Course Name: CDMA2000 Network Planning Training

Deployment Options: Onsite - Instructor-Led Training

Course Duration: 2-3 days depending on audience background and options

Introduction:

CDMA2000, also known as IMT-CDMA Multi-Carrier or 1xRTT, is a code-division multiple access (CDMA) version of the IMT-2000 standard developed by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The CDMA2000 standard is third-generation (3-G) mobile wireless technology. The world's first 3G commercial system was launched by SK Telecom (South Korea) in October 2000, using CDMA2000 1X.

The network planning course will give the technical professional the required knowledge and background to perform RF network planning activities for a CDMA network. The course is intended for those individuals familiar with the CDMA Air Interface Standard, either IS-95 or CDMA2000, but desiring to understand the basic concepts behind planning a CDMA network. Topics covered include link budgets, propagation models and traffic modeling and a review of available network planning tools required to successfully plan a CDMA network. The specifics of CDMA network design are introduced; including PN planning, soft hand-off control, hard hand-off planning, packet zone planning and spectrum planning and site selection criteria.

Audience:

This course is for anyone involved in the network deployment process who needs to learn about network planning principles as applied to CDMA networks.

Prerequisites:

Technical background in wireless communication systems. CDMA Engineering Basics or equivalent working knowledge of cdmaOne and/or CDMA2000 air interface standards.

Customize it:

This 2-3-day CDMA2000 Network Planning course will be customized to your needs and specifications. Enowireless will assist you in identifying those needs and specifications. A word to the wise, there are many vendors of wireless training. They will typically have a broad and general course, one size fits all, already developed and just put your organization’s name on the title slide. This minimizes their effort and time investment. At Enowireless, every course is made to your exact and exacting specifications. We help you ensure what you are getting is what you really need even if at the beginning you weren’t too sure of what that was. We fit the class to your needs. We never fit you into our “standard”, one size fits all, class.
