Course Name: Mobile IP Training: System Overview

Deployment Options: Onsite - Instructor-Led Training

Course Duration: 2-3 days depending on audience background and options

Introduction:

As mobile carriers look to enhance their services offerings with new 3G oriented, IMS enabled applications, the prominence of IP traffic on mobile networks will continue to grow. Additionally, with cost reduction efforts surrounding voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) in the mobility domain, carriers will be facing a transition in the coming years from traditional circuit switched, voice centric environments to networks that treat all applications like data. Engineers, business people, marketing organizations and designers and planners will benefit from in many cases a refresher in MIP, and an understanding of MIPv6, HIPv6, MIPv6 over MPLS and the impact of IMS in the mobile domain.

Audience:

Engineers, network designers, network planners, RF engineers, transport planning, executives, supply chain and procurement, marketing professionals, and strategists who will be responsible for helping to usher in the new applications and services which MIP will enable.

Prerequisites:

You should have some familiarity with communications engineering. If you have an understanding of the architecture of a mobile communications network and the limitations imposed by its air interface, that will be helpful but it’s not required.

Customize it:

This 2-3-day Mobile IP course will be customized to your needs and specifications. Enowireless will assist you in identifying those needs and specifications. A word to the wise, there are many vendors of wireless training. They will typically have a broad and general course, one size fits all, already developed and just put your organization’s name on the title slide. This minimizes their effort and time investment. At Enowireless, every course is made to your exact and exacting specifications. We help you ensure what you are getting is what you really need even if at the beginning you weren’t too sure of what that was. We fit the class to your needs. We never fit you into our “standard”, one size fits all, class.

Objectives:

Provide a basic understanding of MIPv4, changes with respect to MIPv6, synchronicity issues, HIPv6, MIPv6 over MPLS domains, and an overview of Internet Multimedia Subsystem (IMS
